Bricin Lyons Promotes Helmet Safety

We also had a chance to interview Paskapoo 2009 Champ Zen Shikaze
Throughout the past 5 years Colabo has been keeping a close eye on helmet safety.  Starting 4 years back by leading the pack by importing sleek helmets from Europe in 2008,  Blake Startup partnered up with Daniel Pape to form Lid Technologies to improve the safety of "Speed Helmets".  The Speed Helmets that were currently being used by speed fanatics were far from safe - scary in fact.  And in early 2009 Colabo lead by example by introducing Modifications of Downhill Mountain Biking Helmets in order to get our beloved riders away from using Paragliding helmets.  Not all of our projects were perfect.  And not all of the past projects will be implemented in 2010 simply for the reason that they were not ideal.  All project, however, were done in order to innovate one step at time and constantly strive to protect our most important asset, our brain.   Yes, our Lid Tech project helped riders get into safer "speed" helmets but still there were improvements that needed to take place.  Keep checking back here and at Colabo.ca as news on helmet safety is released.  Thanks for all of you that no longer wear Paragliding helmets.  It's for your own good.

Please Note : If the interior foam has been compromised when you've Drilled into a Downhill Mountain Biking Helmets, please refrain from riding in that helmet.
